What is the project about?

The project aims to address Borealis' challenge of optimizing electricity consumption in the face of unpredictable market fluctuations. This involves developing an innovative solution that leverages AI-based predictive modeling and real-time market data to accurately forecast, manage, and minimize the financial and operational impact of electricity imbalances. By aligning with Borealis' commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency, the project seeks to enhance the company's competitiveness in the market through the development of a reliable and environmentally friendly approach to energy optimization.  

To meet these goals, the project will analyze current market data, calculate financial values for balancing and intraday trading, identify data points linked to internal imbalances and design a real-time predictive model with monitoring system. You will also conduct a detailed cost-benefit analysis and create a business model outlining revenue generation and implementation feasibility.
