1.1. Academics For Companies vzw (hereafter “AFC”), whose registered office is located at Eugène Gilbertstraat 3 3000 Leuven, operates a website

All personal data collected by us (hereafter "Data") shall be processed in accordance with the applicable Belgian and European regulations relative to the protection of personal data, in particular UE Regulation 2016/679 issued by the European Parliament and Council on April 27th, 2016 relating to the protection of individuals with regards to personal data processing and the free circulation of this data, revoking directive 95/46/CE (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), Directive 2002/58/CE, amended by Directive 2009/136/CE, and the "Electronic Communications Law" of June 13th, 2005, amended by the law of July 10th, 2012.

When you visit the public pages of this website, you're not obligated to provide any personal details. If we become aware that a visitor under 16 has provided information through our website, we'll make efforts to delete it promptly.

  • You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. This allows you to temporarily halt the use of your personal data by AFC without deleting it. AFC may not always be obliged to limit your personal data upon request; this right only applies in specific situations and to the extent provided for by law.
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent whenever AFC processes your personal data based on your consent.
  • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.  
  • You have the right to data portability. This allows you to easily move, copy, or transfer your personal data from AFC to another controller. This right can be exercised when processing is based on an agreement with you.

8.1. Without prejudice to any existing administrative and legal procedures, you have the right to enter a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your usual place of stay, place of work, or of the alleged violation, if you consider your Data processing is an infringement of the GDPR.

9. Changes

We reserve the right to unilaterally modify our Privacy Statement at any time. Each amended version will always be available on the Website and will apply immediately from the moment of publication.
